At New Possibilities Inc. we believe everyone deserves a second chance and a safe place to start fresh. We're a recovery residence based in Rochester, N.Y. offering a supportive home of men working toward long term recovery from substance use and co-occurring challenges.

Our home isn't just a place to stay- it's a place to grow. We focus on building life skills, encouraging peer support, and helping each resident reconnect with community, family, and purpose.

New possibilities Inc. was created by people who understand the struggle and the strength it takes to rebuild your life. We're here to walk alongside our residents-not ahead of them-not behind them, every step of the way.

Meet our Board of Directors

Monique S. Tidwell – CEO

​

Monique is the chief executive officer of New Possibilities Inc. a non-profit 501C(3) organization. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Monique serves as the President of Pleasant Ride NEMT  Her responsibility includes hiring, training and supervising drivers, administrative staff, and managing and comprehensive billing process for Medicaid services. Monique experience also includes a tenure at Horizon Health Services as a Behavioral Health administrator. There, she provided high level administrative support to health care professionals. She also handled insurance compliance and billing tasks, contributing to the overall efficiency of the healthcare facility. 

Manuel Randolph Welch Jr  - Treasurer

Manuel is a certified Peer Specialist currently serving in a GS-9 role for the Department of Veterans Affair. Manuel facilitates both inpatient and outpatient groups, offering one-on-one peer support and work closely with the interdisciplinary teams to ensure that veterans receive comprehensive care.

In addition to his primary responsibilities, Treatment Court with Western New York Heroes, High Ground, and Horses Healing Hearts. His certifications include Peer Support Specialist Certification, Mental Health First Aid, a credential for Military Child Caring for Children of Veterans, CASAC-T, Buffalo Treatment Court program Certification of Achievement, and VHA Certification in Coaching and Mentoring for Treatment Court.

Deadra R. Smith - Secretary

​

​Deadra served as the Program Director at Bestself Behavioral Health and Recovery Community Outreach Center, where she managed all day-to day facility operations, directed program activities, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. At Recovery Connection., Deadra excelled as a Peer Advocate, drawing on her personal recovery journey to provide trauma informed support, education on recovery treatment, and critical overdose intervention through Narcan administration. Deadra is a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate, and is an ordained minister and Pastor. 

Willie L. Tidwell - CFO

​

Willie Tidwell a retired disabled veteran with 10 years of service. He has managed all aspects of mobile food business and non-emergency medical transportation services, overseeing logistics compliance, customer service, and financial strategy. His experience in branding, business development, and community engagement plays a key role in shaping the financial stability and growth of New Possibilities as it builds a foundation for long term impact in the recovery and reintegration space.
